1. Description of Service
The Manuscript Formatting Service (₹500) ensures that your manuscript complies with the technical submission requirements of your specified target journal. Our formatting experts carefully adjust the page layout, margins, font styles, line spacing, heading hierarchy, title page, figure and table legend placement, and citation/reference formatting according to the journal's official guidelines, helping reduce the risk of technical desk rejection.
2. Scope and Limitations (Formatting vs. Editing)
To ensure clear expectations, please note the following limitations of this service:
- No Language Editing: This service is strictly limited to document formatting. We do not edit grammar, spelling, language, scientific content, or research accuracy. For language corrections, please use our Grammar Check or Language Editing services.
- Word and Element Limits: We verify your manuscript against the journal's specified limits for word count, references, figures, and tables. If any limit is exceeded, we will insert comments notifying you. We do not delete or rewrite manuscript content to reduce the word count.
- Figure and Table Redesign: We format figure and table captions and ensure proper placement within the manuscript. Image enhancement, resizing, resolution improvement, or redesign of figures and complex tables is not included and is available separately under our Figure & Table Formatting Service.
3. Author Responsibilities & Submission Requirements
To accurately format your manuscript, you must provide:
- Target Journal: The exact name of the target journal, preferably along with a link to its Instructions for Authors page.
- Complete Manuscript: An editable Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) containing all required sections, including the Title Page, Abstract, Main Text, References, Figures, Tables, and Legends.
- Missing Sections: If mandatory sections required by the journal (such as Conflict of Interest, Data Availability, Funding Statement, or Ethical Approval) are missing, we will insert placeholders indicating where the information should be added before submission.
4. Reference Management Software (EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero)
If your manuscript uses reference management software:
- We strongly recommend converting all citations and bibliography into plain text by removing active field codes before submission.
- If active reference codes remain in the document, any manual formatting performed by our team may be overwritten when your reference software updates or synchronizes the document. Outreach Services is not responsible for formatting lost due to software-generated overwrites.
5. Quality Guarantee and Free Revisions
We guarantee that your manuscript will be formatted according to the submission guidelines of the target journal specified at the time of order.
- If the journal editor identifies formatting errors that were overlooked by our team, we will correct those formatting issues free of charge.
- To qualify for a free revision, you must provide the journal editor's exact feedback within 30 days of delivery.
6. Change of Target Journal
The ₹500 formatting fee covers formatting for one specific journal only.
- If you later decide to submit your manuscript to another journal (or if your manuscript is rejected and you choose a different journal), a new formatting order will be required because each journal has unique formatting guidelines.
7. Limitation of Liability (No Guarantee of Acceptance)
- Proper formatting improves compliance with submission requirements but does not guarantee peer review, editorial consideration, or publication. Acceptance decisions are made solely by the journal's editorial board.
- Outreach Services and Dr. Arup Giri shall not be liable for manuscript rejection, publication delays, or any professional consequences resulting from submission.
- In no event shall the total liability of Outreach Services exceed the total amount paid for the Manuscript Formatting Service.
8. Modifications to Terms
Dr. Arup Giri reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes become effective immediately upon posting on arupgiri.com. Continued use of this service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
