1. Description of Service

The Manuscript Formatting Service (₹499) ensures that your document complies entirely with the technical submission guidelines of your specified target journal. Our formatting experts will meticulously adjust your manuscript’s page layout, margins, font styles, line spacing, heading hierarchy, title page details, figure/table legend placement, and citation/reference styling to meet the publisher’s exact requirements, thereby helping you avoid technical desk rejections.

2. Scope and Limitations (Formatting vs. Editing)

To ensure clear expectations, please note the specific boundaries of this service:

• No Language Editing: This service is strictly structural. We do not read your manuscript for grammar, spelling, phrasing, or scientific accuracy. (For language corrections, please utilize our Grammar Check or Language Editing services).
• Word and Element Limits: We will check your manuscript against the journal’s stated limits for word count, reference count, and figure/table limits. If your manuscript exceeds these limits, we will insert a comment notifying you. We will not delete or rewrite your text to reduce the word count.
• Figure and Table Redesign: We format the text of the legends and ensure proper placement within the document. However, resizing, resolution enhancement, or graphic redesign of the actual image files or complex table structures falls under our separate Figure and Table Formatting

3. Author Responsibilities & Submission Requirements

For us to accurately format your manuscript, you must provide:

• The Target Journal: The exact name of your target journal (and ideally, a link to its “Instructions for Authors” page).
• A Complete File: An editable Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) containing all necessary manuscript elements (Title Page, Abstract, Main Text, References, and Legends).
• Missing Sections: If your manuscript is missing mandatory sections required by the journal (e.g., Conflict of Interest Statement, Data Availability, Ethical Approvals), we will insert a placeholder highlighting that you must add this information before submission.

4. Reference Management Software (EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero)

If you have used reference management software to generate your bibliography:

• We highly recommend that you convert your citations and bibliography to plain text (removing active field codes) prior to submission.
• If active codes are left in the document, our manual formatting changes to the reference list may be overwritten and erased the next time your software syncs or updates the document. Outreach Services is not responsible for formatting lost due to reference software overwrites.

5. Quality Guarantee and Free Revisions

We guarantee that your manuscript will be formatted according to the guidelines of the target journal provided at the time of submission.

• If the journal editor returns your manuscript specifically citing formatting errors that our team overlooked, we will re-format the document for free.
• To claim a free revision, you must provide the exact feedback received from the journal within 30 days of the report’s delivery.

6. Change of Target Journal

The ₹500 formatting fee covers the technical requirements for one specific journal.

• If you decide to submit your manuscript to a different journal after we have completed the work (or if the first journal rejects the paper and you wish to submit elsewhere), a new formatting order must be placed. Different journals have entirely different technical guidelines, requiring a complete re-formatting of the document.

7. Limitation of Liability (No Guarantee of Acceptance)

• Proper formatting removes technical barriers to peer review, but it does not guarantee publication. The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made solely by the journal’s editorial board based on the scientific merit of your research.
• Outreach Services and Dr. Arup Giri shall not be held liable for manuscript rejections, publication delays, or any professional consequences arising from the submission of your manuscript.
• In no event shall our total liability for any claims arising from this service exceed the total amount paid by the user for the Manuscript Formatting order.

8. Modifications to Terms

Dr. Arup Giri reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to arupgiri.com. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.
