Description of Service

Outreach Services acts as a facilitator, utilizing our licensed DrillBit Enterprise/Extreme software to generate a comprehensive similarity (10 Rs/Page) and plagiarism report (10 Rs/Page) for your academic or professional manuscript. DrillBit is an advanced, AI-powered plagiarism detection tool designed to help users ensure the originality of their written work.

Intellectual Property and Copyright Protection

We share DrillBit’s utmost respect for intellectual property and the copyright protection of authors.

• No Ownership Claim: Neither Dr. Arup Giri, Outreach Services, nor DrillBit claims any ownership rights over the documents you upload.
• Sole Purpose: Your document is uploaded strictly for the purpose of comparing and identifying text similarity against published databases to protect your intellectual property and prevent unintended plagiarism.

Data Privacy and Repository Settings (Non-Archiving)

We understand that protecting unpublished academic research is critical.

• No Auto-Saving to Global Repositories: Documents submitted through our service for a plagiarism check are not automatically saved into DrillBit’s permanent, global comparison repository.
• Temporary Storage Only: Your file is temporarily stored for the purpose of generating the report. Outreach Services will permanently delete your document and the resulting report from our local servers shortly after the report has been successfully delivered to you.
• No Third-Party Sharing: Your files will never be shared with third parties, sold, or used for any purpose other than generating your requested similarity report.

Understanding the DrillBit Report (Limitations of Liability)

It is crucial to understand how to interpret the results of your DrillBit report:

• Similarity vs. Plagiarism: A DrillBit report highlights textual overlap with existing content sources; it does not automatically accuse the author of plagiarism. A higher percentage may result from properly cited references, standard scientific methodologies, or universally accepted technical definitions.
• Need for Human Review: The report is a diagnostic tool. The final determination of what constitutes plagiarism rests with your university, target journal, or publisher through human review of the highlighted sections.
• No Guarantees: Outreach Services does not guarantee that a low similarity score on DrillBit will result in the acceptance of your manuscript by any specific journal, publisher, or academic institution, as organizations may use different tools or thresholds.

User Responsibilities and Warranties

By submitting a document to Outreach Services for a DrillBit check, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the original author of the document, or you have explicit, legally binding authorization from the copyright holder to submit it.
• You are not uploading documents containing highly sensitive personal data, classified institutional data, or materials that violate applicable laws.

Limitation of Liability

The services provided by Dr. Arup Giri are strictly for your educational, editorial, and informational guidance.

• Dr. Arup Giri and Outreach Services shall not be held liable for any academic, professional, legal, or financial consequences arising from the use, interpretation, or submission of these reports.
• We are not responsible for any actions taken by third parties (such as journal rejections or university disciplinary actions) based on the originality of your document.
• In no event shall Outreach Services’ total liability for any damages exceed the total fee paid by you for the specific DrillBit report.

Delivery and Formatting

• Reports are typically generated and emailed to the user in a secure PDF format within the agreed-upon turnaround time.
• Pricing is based on page/word counts as specified on our product pages. Documents exceeding the standard allocation (e.g., over 20 pages or 400,000 characters) may require additional fees, which will be communicated prior to processing.

Modifications to Terms

Dr. Arup Giri reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to arupgiri.com. Continued use of the DrillBit service constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.
