1. Description of Service

Our comprehensive Language Editing service is designed to elevate your manuscript to publication-ready standards. Our editors will rigorously review and refine your text to enhance clarity, logical flow, grammar, syntax, phrasing, and overall scientific tone, ensuring it reads as though written by a native English-speaking expert. We are committed to preserving your unique authorial voice and the original scientific meaning of your work.

2. Pricing and Word Count

• Base Rate: The standard fee (₹650) covers comprehensive language editing for manuscripts up to 120 pages. Following is the details of price details: Rs. 650 upto 120 pages; Rs. 850 upto 200 pages; and Rs. 1000 upto 300 pages.
• Calculating Word Count:The word count includes all text submitted in the document (including the abstract, main body, figure legends, and tables) unless you explicitly instruct us in writing to exclude specific sections (such as the reference list).
• Overages:Manuscripts exceeding the 5,000-word limit will be billed proportionally based on the total word count. We will confirm the final word count and total price with you before editing begins.

3. Scope and Limitations (What We Do Not Do)

To ensure clear expectations, please note the specific boundaries of this service:

• No Data Verification:We do not fact-check your scientific data, verify your methodology, or validate your statistical results. The scientific integrity of the research remains solely the responsibility of the author.
• No Structural Formatting:This service focuses entirely on the language. It does not include adjusting margins, formatting citations, or styling headings to meet specific journal guidelines. (For this, please add our separate Manuscript Formatting Service).
• No Plagiarism Resolution:We do not rewrite text to reduce plagiarism scores, nor do we check for unoriginal content under this service tier.

Author Responsibilities & Submission Requirements

• Final Draft Requirement:Please ensure that the document you submit is your absolute final draft.
• File Format:Manuscripts must be submitted as editable Microsoft Word documents (.doc or .docx). We cannot edit locked PDFs.
• Responding to Queries:Our editors may leave comments or queries in the margins if a sentence’s scientific meaning is ambiguous. It is the author’s responsibility to address these queries prior to submission.

Quality Guarantee and Free Re-Editing

We stand behind the quality of our editing and offer a strong guarantee against language-based rejections.

• The Guarantee:If your target journal rejects your manuscript specifically and solely due to poor English language quality, we will re-edit your manuscript for free.
• Conditions for the Guarantee:To claim this free re-edit, you must provide the official rejection letter and reviewer comments within 30 days of receipt. Furthermore, this guarantee is void if you added new, unedited text to the manuscript, or significantly altered our editor’s finalized text, prior to submitting it to the journal.

Limitation of Liability (No Guarantee of Acceptance)

• While excellent language editing removes language barriers during the peer-review process, it cannot compensate for flaws in experimental design or scientific rationale.
• Outreach Services and Dr. Arup Giri cannot guarantee that your manuscript will be accepted for publication.
• In no event shall our total liability for any claims arising from this editing service exceed the total amount paid by the user for the Language Editing order.

Privacy and Intellectual Property

We treat your unpublished research with strict confidentiality. Your documents will not be shared with any third parties, and Dr. Arup Giri makes no claim to the intellectual property, data, or copyrights contained within your manuscript.

Modifications to Terms

Dr. Arup Giri reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to arupgiri.com. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.
