Description of Service

The Graphical Abstract service provides authors with a custom-designed, visually engaging summary of their research manuscript. Our design team creates high-resolution visuals aligned with the exact specifications (dimensions, file type, font size, and resolution/DPI) of your target journal, making your research stand out in print, digital media, and academic search engines.

Author Responsibilities and Input Requirements

To ensure the final design accurately reflects your research, you are required to provide the following upon placing your order:

• The Final Manuscript:Or, at minimum, the final abstract, conclusion, and key figures.
• Target Journal Guidelines:The specific name of the journal or a link to their graphical abstract guidelines.
• Core Message:A brief summary (3–4 sentences) of the central takeaway or mechanism you want highlighted in the visual.
• (Optional but Recommended):A rough hand-drawn sketch or conceptual layout. This greatly helps our designers understand the visual flow you envision.

Scientific Accuracy and Final Approval

While our team is skilled in scientific illustration, the final responsibility for the scientific validity of the graphical abstract rests entirely with the author.

• Our designers illustrate the concepts provided to them; they do not peer-review the science, verify chemical structures, or validate mathematical formulas.
• You must carefully proofread the final design to ensure all pathways, labels, units, and data representations are scientifically correct before submitting it to the journal.
• Outreach Services assumes no liability for manuscript rejections or published errata resulting from scientific inaccuracies in the graphical abstract.

Revision Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your visual summary. Therefore, the base fee (₹499) includes:

• One (1) round of minor revisions.Minor revisions include tweaks to color palettes, font sizes, label adjustments, shifting the placement of elements, or correcting typos made by our designers.
• Major Redesigns:If you request a completely new conceptual layout, introduce new data not provided in the original brief, or change the target journal (requiring an entirely different aspect ratio or style), this will be classified as a major redesign. Major redesigns are outside the scope of the original fee and will incur an additional charge.

Copyright, Ownership, and Asset Licensing

• Transfer of Rights:Upon final delivery and full payment of the service fee, Outreach Services transfers the full copyright of the final graphical abstract to you. You hold the right to transfer this copyright to your publisher or use the image for promotional purposes.
• Originality:Our designers use a combination of original vector artwork and properly licensed stock elements. We guarantee that the final product will not infringe on third-party copyrights.
• Portfolio Use:Outreach Services reserves the right to use the finalized graphical abstract in our online portfolio or marketing materials to showcase our design capabilities. (If your research is highly confidential and unpublished, you may request a portfolio embargo until after publication).

Delivery Formats

Your final graphical abstract will be delivered digitally in the high-resolution formats required by top-tier publishers. Typically, this includes .TIFF, .JPEG, or .PNG files at 300 to 600 DPI.

Limitation of Liability

• Outreach Services cannot guarantee that the inclusion of a graphical abstract will result in the acceptance of your manuscript by any journal.
• In no event shall the total liability of Dr. Arup Giri or Outreach Services for any claims related to this design service exceed the total amount paid by the user for the Graphical Abstract order.

Modifications to Terms

Dr. Arup Giri reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to arupgiri.com. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.
