Description of Service

This tool analyzes your document to identify the probability that the text was generated, heavily edited, or structured by Artificial Intelligence (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) or AI paraphrasing tools (such as QuillBot). The deliverable is a detailed report indicating the percentage of text flagged as potentially AI-generated.

Unlike plagiarism checkers that look for exact word matches in a database, DrillBit’s AI detection operates on predictive modeling.

• How it Works: The software analyzes writing patterns, sentence structure consistency, predictability (perplexity), and pacing (burstiness) to differentiate between human and AI writing styles.
• Paraphrasing Tools: DrillBit is designed to detect structural patterns indicative of AI usage, even if a user has attempted to mask the AI content using synonym-replacement or paraphrasing tools.

Accuracy, Limitations, and False Positives

Users must acknowledge the inherent limitations of all AI detection technologies currently available:

Limitation of Liability

The AI detection reports provided by Dr. Arup Giri are strictly for your educational, editorial, and self-assessment purposes.

• No Consequential Damages: Dr. Arup Giri and Outreach Services shall not be held liable for any academic, professional, legal, or financial consequences arising from the use or interpretation of these reports.
• Third-Party Actions: We are completely indemnified against actions taken by third parties—such as manuscript rejections by journals, or disciplinary actions by universities—based on the results of the DrillBit AI report.
• Maximum Liability: In no event shall Outreach Services’ total liability for any damages exceed the fee paid by the user for the specific AI Detection report in question.

Data Privacy and Confidentiality

Protecting your unpublished research is our priority.

• No Global Archiving: Documents submitted exclusively for AI Detection via our DrillBit license are evaluated securely and are not permanently saved into any global comparison repository.
• Data Deletion: Your file and the resulting report are stored only temporarily for processing and delivery. They will be permanently deleted from our local servers shortly after your order is successfully fulfilled.
• Strict Confidentiality: Your work will never be shared, sold, or distributed to any third party.

User Responsibilities

By submitting a document for AI detection, you represent that:

• You are the rightful author or have explicit permission to evaluate the document.
