Dr Geetika Saini

Dr. Geetika Saini is an accomplished academician and environmental toxicologist currently serving as Assistant Professor of Zoology at Saini Co-education College, Rohtak, where she has been teaching since February 2020. She holds a Ph.D. in Zoology from Baba Mastnath University, Rohtak, with her doctoral research focusing on the assessment of heavy metals and pesticide residues in soil, water, and dairy systems of Haryana, India, highlighting their implications for environmental and public health. She is CSIR-UGC NET qualified (2018) and completed her M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Zoology from Kurukshetra University, securing a strong academic record.
With substantial teaching experience, Dr. Saini has mentored over 500 undergraduate and postgraduate students in core areas of Zoology, including Environmental Science, Animal Physiology, and Toxicology. She is recognized for integrating environmental relevance and public health perspectives into classroom teaching and laboratory instruction. Her academic contributions include peer-reviewed research articles published in reputed journals on heavy metal and pesticide contamination, as well as authorship of the scholarly book “Human Evolution” (2024). She has actively presented her research at national and international conferences, reflecting her engagement with the scientific community.
In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Saini has played an important role in institutional leadership and community outreach. She has served as Convener of the Women and Anti-Harassment Cell and the Placement and Internship Cell, contributing to inclusive governance and student career development. She is also actively involved in organizing community awareness programs on environmental pollution and health risks. With a balanced profile encompassing academics, research, administration, and societal engagement, Dr. Geetika Saini continues to contribute meaningfully to higher education and environmental sustainability.
